Renaissance Voices is an amateur choir based in Maidenhead, whose repertoire focuses on the Renaissance and Baroque periods of classical music. We normally give three concerts a year, at All Saints Church in Maidenhead, or, St. Nicolas Church in Taplow, including a special festive one at Christmas. For Christmas 2021, we performed in St James the Less, Stubbings and are hopeful that we might do the same this year.

We performed our belated 20th anniversary concert at All Saints, Boyne Hill, Maidenhead, on Saturday March 5. This was a successful and enjoyable concert with record attendance and being joined by the Renaissance Players and professional vocalists did indeed make it a truly special experience.

And for this summer, we are planning a concert on Sunday June 19, for which the repertoire will be mainly light and summery English and Italian madrigals, a mixture of the well-known and the less familiar. More details to follow as they firm up, but there will be some Vautor, Weelkes, Monteverdi and Marenzio with some recorder pieces interspersed through the programme.
